Immersed in the lush greenery atop a hill, Hotel Winpalace offers a peaceful retreat away from the bustling center. The spacious rooms, complete with proper showers and cozy beds, ensure a comfortable stay. The friendly staff, though young, exude genuine kindness, making you feel truly welcomed. As a digital nomad seeking authentic Balkan experiences, the lovely blend of international and traditional Bulgarian cuisine at the restaurant was a delightful surprise.While car access is a must due to its secluded location, the panoramic views of Veliko Tarnovo from the pool make the journey worth it. The well-maintained pool and children's playground add to the family-friendly appeal. Though we didn't explore the spa facilities, the promise of sauna, hot tub, and massage treatments entices for a future visit.For those who relish a mix of relaxation and authenticity, Hotel Winpalace offers a serene escape with a touch of Bulgarian charm. Looking forward to returning and perhaps indulging in a relaxing spa experience next time.
